// What We Build

Conveyor & Handling Systems

Catalog conveyors are built for an average product in an average plant. Yours isn’t average. We size, fabricate, and integrate handling systems around the product you move and the space you have.

Belt & Roller Conveyors

Slider-bed and roller-bed belt conveyors, gravity and powered roller conveyors—sized for your product, built at the width, length, height, and speed your line needs.

// Sized to the product

Chain Conveyors & Chain Decks

Multi-strand chain conveyors and chain transfer decks for long stock, bundles, lumber, pipe, and heavy product—where belts and rollers won’t hold up.

// Heavy, long, awkward

Lift & Transfer Tables

Scissor lifts, lift-and-rotate, and transfer tables that raise, lower, and move product between stations—ergonomic positioning and line-to-line transfer built to your load.

// Raise, move, present

Elevators & Stackers

Vertical elevators, chord and bundle elevators, and stackers that lift and stage product—moving material up, over, and into position without an operator in the way.

// Up, over, and staged

Indexing & Accumulation

Indexers, stops, diverts, and accumulation zones that pace product to your process—buffering between machines so one slow station doesn’t starve or flood the rest.

// Paced to your process

Controls & Integration

Drives, sensors, PLC and HMI—wired, programmed, and tied into your existing line by an in-house controls team, so the conveyor and its brain ship together and start together.

// Iron meets intelligence

Have a layout, a bottleneck, or a product that won’t ride a catalog conveyor?

Send a sketch, a photo of the line, or the problem. We’ll engineer the handling around it.

// How We Work

Layout to Running Line

One accountable team from the first sketch to the first product moving down the line.

STEP 01

Scope the Flow

We talk product, loads, rates, footprint, and what’s upstream and downstream—then quote the system, not a part number.

STEP 02

Engineer It

In-house engineers model the system, size the drives and structure, and confirm fit and safety before any steel is cut.

STEP 03

Build & Wire

Fabricated, machined, welded, painted, and wired under one roof. Run-tested before it ships.

STEP 04

Install & Integrate

Delivered, set, and tied into your existing line and controls. We stand behind what we build.

Conveyor & Handling FAQ

Do you build custom conveyors, or sell catalog units?

Custom. Every conveyor is engineered and fabricated to your product, loads, speed, footprint, and the line it feeds. Nothing is pulled off a catalog shelf.

What types of conveyors do you build?

Belt conveyors (slider-bed and roller-bed), gravity and powered roller conveyors, multi-strand chain conveyors, and chain transfer decks for long, heavy, or awkward product.

Do you build lift tables and transfer tables?

Yes. Scissor lifts, lift-and-rotate, and transfer tables for positioning product and moving it between lines and stations, sized to your load.

Can you handle heavy or oversized product?

Yes. Structure, drives, and chain are sized to the actual load. Chain conveyors and chain decks are built specifically for long stock, bundles, lumber, pipe, and heavy material that belts and rollers will not carry.

Do you supply the controls too?

Yes. An in-house controls team builds the panel, programs the PLC and HMI, wires the drives and sensors, and integrates with your existing line so the system ships as one package.

Can you fit a conveyor into an existing line or a tight space?

Yes. Systems are engineered to your footprint and to what is upstream and downstream. Send a layout or a photo of the area and we design around it.

Do you install the system?

Yes. Systems are run-tested before shipping, then delivered, set, and integrated with your line.

Where are you located, and where do you ship?

Bham Iron is at 3959 Valley East Industrial Dr in Birmingham, Alabama, serving the Southeast with equipment shipped nationwide.

Tell us what you're moving.

Send a layout, a photo of the line, or just the bottleneck. You'll talk to the engineers who build the system—not a call center.
